Great little place to stay. It’s a little misleading from the outside - the rooms are updated and very cute! Great view of the water. We stayed on a Sunday and there weren’t any close restaurants open for dinner hence the 4 star on location. Highly recommend as a place to stay.

What a wonderful little motel! The setting couldn’t be more beautiful and our room was lovely, clean and comfortable with a great little balcony to sit and enjoy the view and sunset. The owners were so kind and friendly and delivered a very nice continental breakfast to our room which was a treat at a good price. We hope to return on our next trip to Nova Scotia. We highly recommend!

My husband and I visited Nova Scotia for the 1st time. We wanted to spend a night near the Atlantic coast and this was a lovely choice. The room was nicely decorated, clean, with a beautiful lake view. The host/owner gave us great recommendations for what to do in Halifax.

Stay here!! The rooms are so lovely. Each is decorated differently and so nicely done. We stayed in th Beach Vibes room. The view is lovely, the rooms clean and comfy. And definitely get the continental breakfast, delivered right to your room! It is worth it. They also offer gluten free. Restaurants just 10 minutes down the road. We ate at the slippery Oyster for dinner.

Very nice owners and a welcome greeting from their three Golden Retrievers ? The rooms were nice and comfy beds but the bed was squeaky and the door hinges could do with some oiling. Great views of the lake. Easy to find from the road, which is busy. A nice stay.

My daughter and I had the privilege of attending an event "Under the Blue Moon" at the Marmalde Motel. It was a wonderful weekend with beautiful ?? women. The facilitators did an amazing job! From the warm muffins in the morning delivered to your door to the sound healing and yoga to the circles of conversation and spectacular dinners. Everything was beautifully thought out. I would highly recommend a visit to any retreat put on by the Marmalade Motel.

Travelling with my elderly mom for a family funeral was challenging but Cheryl and Neil were very accommodating, ensuring my requests and her comfort was taken care of. The Pink Flamingo room was perfect, I was able to move the comfy pink chair so she could sit and take in the beautiful view of the water. She has experienced the lose of four close family members the last two years, leaving her less motivated, so when she said the sunset was breathtaking and she would love to paint it, many pictures were taken to remember the moment. After she turned in for the night, I took myself to the hot tub for some R & R. It was just what I needed. My mom said she would definitely stay at the Marmalade again and I totally agree. Thank you for your hospitality.

The property was a true Gem! They accept doggies, they have very clean/modern rooms, exceptional bedding including the pillows. The Marmalade owners are fantastic and were very accommodating, further enriching our experience. Food provided for 'add on' breakfast was great and the views of the ocean and sunsets are amazing, from each of the back decks. Thank you Neil! We will be back.??

Positives - Esthetically, the room was clean and pretty. The view was also wonderful. They left a delicious treat for us and chocolates on the pillow; which was a nice touch. Negatives - I called to book but it went to voicemail, so due to time constraints I had to book online and pay the marketing levy. There was no office to stop by to pay for my room; so unfortunately, the owner woke us up by repeatedly knocking on my door at 8:30 am for payment - even though I could have paid the night before. That was a HUGE issue for me. I work shiftwork and was super tired, and my boys were playing basketball all weekend. We stayed so we could avoid the long drive and be able to sleep in. The bathroom has no heat so it was very cold, and the hot tub was luke warm.

?????????? We absolutely loved our stay at The Marmalade Motel in Sheet Harbour! From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel so welcome and truly cared for. You can tell how much heart and pride they put into every detail. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and had a private balcony with the most peaceful ocean view. We spent the evening just sitting outside, listening to the water, and soaking in the sunset. ? We added a charcuterie box for our first night and a brunch board for the next morning and both were incredible (and delivered right to our door!). The food was fresh, thoughtful, and beautifully presented. It’s such a cozy, charming place that still feels boutique and special. Perfect for a quiet getaway, and they even host events and offer great specials. If you’re visiting the Eastern Shore, do yourself a favour and stay here.
